Attracting Investments and Talents by Favorable Conditions: Foundation-stone Laying Ceremony of Haohai Biological Technology's International Pharmaceutical R&D and Industrialization Project
“Haohai was just a seed rooted in the fertile soil of Songjiang District ten years ago. Now it has grown up into a little tree. Today we’ll continue grow up. I hope the company to become into a big tree in Songjiang District with the care and support of governments at all levels, especially Songjiang District Government.” Dr. Hou Yongtai, Chairman of Haohai Biological Technology said so at the Foundation-stone Laying Ceremony of “Haohai Biological Technology’s International Pharmaceutical R&D and Industrialization Project” in the morning of March 14 2019.
In the valuable spring rain, the Foundation-stone Laying Ceremony of “Haohai Biological Technology’s International Pharmaceutical R&D and Industrialization Project” took place at National –level Songjiang Economic Development Zone (Shanghai). Located along the G60 Sci-tech Innovation Corridor, the project covers an area of about 208 acre (or about 138,770 m2). This event was another major progress of the project after being written into the 2019 Shanghai government work report in early January and acquiring a parcel in the park of National –level Songjiang Economic Development Zone (Shanghai) in early February.

At the beginning of the Foundation-stone Laying Ceremony. Mr. Wu Jianying, GM of Haohai Biological Technology made a speech and introduced the present guests to attendees. Chen Yujian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Songjiang District, was present this Foundation-stone Laying Ceremony. He pointed out that, Through development in the past 12 years‚Haohai Biological Technology has developed itself from a “Pioneer” at the beginning to become a leader and an invisible champion in the domestic biomedical industry segment‚and has made outstanding contributions to economic and social development at Songjiang. Haohai Biological Technology plans to invest RMB 2 billion to focus on tackling the technological bottlenecks in key areas, accelerate the materialization of core products, further maintain Haohai Biological Technology’s first-mover advantage in biomedical field, and set a new benchmark for high quality development of the G60 Sci-tech Innovation Corridor.

At the end of the event, Mr. Wu Jianying accepted interviews with major media such as CCTV, Shanghai TV, Xinhua News Agency, and China Economic Herald. He said that, in the future, Haohai will continue to invest in R&D, technology and talent input, industry incubation and some other fields. He hoped to drive and enhance the value of the products with sci-tech innovations through "Attracting Investments and Talents by Favorable Conditions" and satisfy the health needs of more people by import substitution.
